On October 18, 2011 a second community meeting was co-sponsored by SOAR and Alderman Reilly regarding Northwestern Memorial Hospital's (NMH) proposal for the Outpatient Care Pavilion (OCP).

Several key improvements have been made to the proposal including the relocation of the loading dock system below grade/improvement of ground-level facade on Ontario Street and the elimination of a 10th floor connector bridge between the OCP and the Feinberg Pavilion.

Additionally, NMH has made additional improvements to the west facade, adding vertical articulations for visual interest, reflective material and a light shade of precast concrete.

Demolition of the existing structures on site has begun.  In November 2011 the City's Plan Commission approved the proposal.  NMH plans to start construction in June 2012, and open the new facility in 2014.
