BBQ at the Pier & Celebration of Volunteers

On Wednesday, June 6^th SOAR will be hosting a BBQ at the Pier & Celebration of Volunteers from 6:30-9:30 pm at the Landshark Beer Garden at Navy Pier (east end).  This is an annual event for SOAR and an opportunity for us to recognize & thank our volunteers for their time and talents shared over the past year.

Enjoy the outdoor atmosphere surrounded by the unique personality of Navy Pier and the Chicago skyline. Visit with SOAR members and Streeterville neighbors, make some new friends and learn more about SOAR & other community volunteer opportunities. A BBQ will be served beginning at 7:00 pm and a cash bar will be available all evening. Stay for a spectacular view of the fireworks beginning at 9:30 pm.  SOAR members attend at no cost.  View the invitation.

GO Airport Express will provide transportation to and from the east end of Navy Pier with shuttles running every 20-30 minutes on Wednesday, June 6th from 6:00 - 9:30 pm. There will be two pickup locations and passengers will be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis.

Transportation TO Navy Pier shuttle stops:

• 175 E. Delaware Place (The Hancock, in front of the residence entrance)
• 680 N. Lake Shore Drive (in front of the lakeside east entrance)

Transportation FROM Navy Pier shuttle stop:

• Navy Pier Entrance #2 (north side of the pier, east end)

Attendees living in south Streeterville are encouraged to take the Free Navy Pier Trolley to Entrance #2 which services the Landshark Beer Garden.  There are a number of stops along Illinois Street and a trolley map can be found here.
