DuSable Park Soil Cleanup Begins

SOAR recently received the following update from the Chicago Park District with regard to thorium removal at DuSable Park. 

Thorium, left from former light industry sites in South Streeterville, was discovered during the construction boom in the 1990s.  This project, as with all thorium removal, will be under the strict supervision of the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
