Lurie Research Phase II

303 E. Superior Street

The original plans for the Lurie Research facility included two towers, both of which were approved as part of the Planned Development.

Northwestern University built the Phase I tower (pictured right), and designed a second tower over the loading dock (pictured left behind the atrium). Plans for Phase II include 15 research floors, and 2 floors for mechanicals.

The Planned Development approval for this building is still in effect.  As the plan was previously approved, Northwestern University will not have to seek approval from the Plan Commission. Minimally, the University will need to go through an administrative process.

While the building already has approval, Northwestern University has stated that it will bring the plans back to the community for review. Fundraising efforts for this facility are currently underway.
