Former Prentice Women's Hospital

320 E. Huron Street

This is the former location of Prentice Women's Hospital and is current home to the Stone Psychiatric Center.  Northwestern Memorial Hospital plans to move the center to the Galter Pavilion in the summer of 2011.

The building's ownership will revert back to Northwestern University once the center is relocated.  Northwestern University also owns the land.

Long-term the University plans to redevelop the site as part of its research corridor.  The University has stated that it will not redevelop this site, however, until after the second tower of the Lurie Research facility is constructed.

In 2011 Landmarks Illinois placed this Bertrand Goldberg designed structure on its statewide "Ten Most Endangered Historic Places" list.  In 2011 Landmarks Illinois commissioned and released a re-use study for the building.
