Blueprints and the Cubs--What a Great Combination!
Who could have known that SOAR's annual fundraising event on November 2 would occur on the only rainy night in weeks-and coincide with Game Seven of the World Series-yes, that one, in which the Chicago Cubs triumphed? But despite, or maybe even because of the elements and baseball history, the large Blueprints crowd at The Arts Club of Chicago was especially attentive and upbeat. We are grateful to Alderman Brian Hopkins (Ward 2) and Master of Ceremonies Andy White, Director of Connectivity and Engagement, Lookingglass Theatre, for their participation along with a few interruptions to announce the score. Vision Into Reality Award recipients James Goettsch, Chairman and CEO, Goettsch Partners, and Nada Andric, Associate Director, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, were gracious and eloquent in their remarks as Streeterville residents and members of SOAR. The Arts Club staff, from catering to coat check, was hospitable and professional. And, as always, we are grateful to our sponsors, committee volunteers and those who volunteered for the evening.
