SOAR Residential Network Calendar
SOAR's Residential Network's (SRN) goal is to offer a series of programs from well-respected experts. The programs will address both perennial issues and current topics and will offer board members and building managers a chance to share best practices. Topics are listed below. Each topic will be covered in one or more programs. The meetings also will include updates on current events, presentations from City officials, and informal conversation over refreshments.
Suggestions for future programs are welcome and can be sent via email to the SRN co-chairs. Past program information is also available.
Lease/Rental Restrictions, Pros & Cons - June 13th
Join us for this timely discussion about the pros and cons of managing the number of rentals in your condo/coop, or imposing restrictions like requiring purchasers to reside in the property for a number of years before they have a right to lease it to another. Today many Boards are interested in looking at a rental/lease limiting provision because of the number of owners having financial difficulties in the current economic climate. We'll discuss the pros and cons of the potential impact of an increasing number of rentals. Anyone in condo/coop leadership experiencing an increasing number of rental requests will find this workshop an eye opener.
If your Board has recently proposed or enacted rental/lease provisions, please bring them to this workshop for an idea exchange with others attending. SOAR’s Residential Network was created to facilitate communication among board leadership and building managers in Streeterville.
Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 6:30 pm at The Fairbanks at CityFront Plaza, 240 E. Illinois Street, 9th Floor Community Room. RSVP today.
